1. NEEDS ANALYSIS & RISK ASSESSMENT
The first phase of the Recycle Emirates approach to electronics recycling and data destruction services is a Needs Analysis & Risk Assessment. This process begins with a company representative reviewing each project with the customer’s point of contact to develop a proper plan of action that follows our customer’s requirements and security protocols. 2. AGREE TO TERMS
Next, we agree to terms with our customers in terms of price, quantity and type of material, security requirements, reporting measures needed, and payment terms. At this stage we also ensure that Recycle Emirates will maintain the integrity of the customer’s data and information while we perform our job from start to completion.
3. ASSIGN POINT OF CONTACT
Then Recycle Emirates assigns a point of contact for our customer to be able to Contact Us [link] at any time with any questions or concerns. This point of contact handles both scheduling duties and security requirements; they act as a liaison between Recycle Emirates and the customer representatives.
4. RECEIVE LOGISTICS SUPPORT
Once data destruction is performed on the customer’s material and the electronics are recycled, an inventory list is sent to the customer for review and signatures, along with our Certificates of Proper Disposal. Learn about our Auditing and Certificates of Proper Disposal.
5. START RECYCLING / DATA DESTRUCTION
At this stage in the process, we begin our work of decommissioning your old computer equipment. Based on the agreed upon reporting methods and security requirements for the job, our employees perform the service adhering to ISO 27001 and R2 Standards for Information Security & management. Serial Number Capture and Tech Audit of Equipment Recycle Emirates understands that precise inventory of material is paramount so every piece of IT equipment that we collect gets first audited for its Manufacturer, Model, Configuation, Model,Data is Destroyed in 2 Stages. Asset Number and Cosmetic condition. Thereafter if we identify the equipment to have a scope of Re-use, we also perform a functionality test. Stage 1: Media such as Hard drives and Solid State drives are connected to a US DoD compliant (Dept of Defense) Erasure software. This software Erases the drives depending on the number of “Wipes” a client requires. This enables the Hard drive to be reused as the Data has been erased to an irretrievable state. IT Equipment Dismantling Stage 2: If the drive erasure process experiences an error due to the drives being damaged or with bad sectors, then this qualifies for a Physical destruction by means of Shredding/smashing the unit into multiple pieces. There are times when the client might require both Stage 1 and Stage 2 process to be performed on their Hard drives.
6. CIRCULATE INVENTORY LIST AND CERTIFICATES
Between the time of pickup of material, through the transportation to the agreed upon shredding or processing location, Recycle Emirates provides seamless logistics support to maintain proper security. 7. PURCHASE OF IT & COMPUTER EQUIPMENT WITH USABLE VALUE
Recycle Emirates can offer to purchase equipment that is no longer needed but still has usable value; We can use our blended services to offer payment and buyback of equipment when needed.
